Our Commitment

GLOWINT is committed to making https://glowint.co usable by as many people as possible, including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, magnify the screen, rely on captions, or need reduced motion. We think of accessibility as part of the quality of the work, not a compliance exercise bolted on at the end. A site that is hard to use is a site that is badly built.

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Conformance Status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the site meets the standard, but some content or components do not yet fully meet it. We state this plainly rather than claim full conformance, because the site is new, has not yet completed a full independent audit, and includes components we know need further work. The known gaps are listed below.

Measures We Take

Semantic HTML. Pages use proper landmarks, headings in logical order, lists, and native form elements.

Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with no keyboard traps.

Visible focus indicators. Focus is always visible, with clear indicators that meet contrast requirements.

Color contrast. Text and meaningful interface elements are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios, 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and non-text elements. Color is never the only way information is conveyed.

Descriptive alternative text. Images that carry meaning have alt text describing that meaning. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.

Reduced motion. The site respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting.

Responsive, resizable text. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or function.

Accessible forms. Form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels; errors are described in text, not by color alone.

Known Limitations

We would rather tell you what is not working than let you discover it.

Third-party embeds. The site includes content and scripts provided by third parties, including analytics tools and any embedded media. We do not control their markup and cannot guarantee they meet WCAG 2.1 AA.

PDF documents. Some documents offered for download may not be fully tagged for accessibility. If you need any document in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide it.

The interactive world map. Our site includes an interactive map showing the countries and regions where GLOWINT operates. Interactive maps are difficult to make fully accessible: they rely on visual position, hover, and pointer interaction. An equivalent text list of all countries and regions shown on the map is provided adjacent to it, presenting the same information in a linear, screen-reader-accessible, keyboard-navigable form. No information available through the map is available only through the map. If you find that is not the case anywhere on the site, tell us, that is a defect and we will fix it.

We will acknowledge and respond to accessibility feedback within five business days. Where a fix takes longer, our response will tell you what we found, what we are doing about it, and when we expect it to be resolved, and we will provide the information you were seeking through another channel in the meantime.

How We Assess Accessibility

Self-evaluation against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. Automated testing using established accessibility testing tools during development and after significant changes. Manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation, focus order review, contrast measurement, text resizing, and screen reader spot checks.

Automated tools catch only a portion of accessibility issues, which is why manual review sits alongside them and why user feedback matters. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit. When we do, we will say so here and update our conformance status accordingly.

Applicable Standards

This statement is prepared with reference to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and with regard to Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the European Accessibility Act and EN 301 549 for our European audience.
